Retreat FAQs

Q. When is it and for how long?

A. The retreat begins on Thursday, May 14th and ends on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026. It is 5 nights and 6 days ending after breakfast on the final day Tuesday the 19th.

Q. What airport should I fly into?

A. Porto Airport (OPORTO is the airport code) is closest to the retreat center and is preferred; however, if you are traveling internationally, and it’s more difficult to fly to Porto, flying into Lisbon will also work.

Q. I’m traveling from out of the country, what, if any, visa/entry requirements are needed for Portugal?

A. For entry into Portugal, your passport must be valid for at least three months beyond your intended departure date. You will also need a passport that is valid for at least six months for some nationalities, like U.S. citizens, depending on the specific rules for your country. Please confirm with your country’s requirements.

Starting in late 2026, travelers from visa-exempt countries will need to apply for an ETIAS travel authorization online before traveling to Portugal.

If you are traveling from the US, as a US Citizen, EITAS will not have yet taken effect for our retreat time.

*Please note that travel insurance and your flights to and from are not included.

Q. I have food allergies/and or require special needs for physical accommodations, can you accommodate?

A. This is an inclusive retreat program and retreat center. You will receive an intake form upon registration, where you can list any special requirements or needs. We want to make sure you are comfortable and have the space, unencumbered, for your healing and expansion.

Q. What should I pack?

A. As May has been known to have rain, it is possible it may rain while on retreat. Please check/note the weather before arrival in case a light rain jacket is needed.

Make sure to bring clothes you feel comfortable being outdoors/hiking in, as well as clothes you feel comfortable lying down in for our group healing sessions.

Please make sure you bring comfortable walking shoes/tennis shoes for our day in the National Forrest and walking around the village/property.

There is a cold plunge area with local spring water, and of course, many beaches along the Portugal coast, so if you are extending your trip or would like to have a cold dip in spring water while on retreat, make sure to bring your bathing suit.

Don’t forget your journal and pen!

Q. Will Laundry be available?

A. Please ensure you pack what you need for the entire duration we are on retreat. Laundry services will not be available.

Q. What is your refund/cancellation policy?

A. There are no refunds available for this retreat, and it can not be deferred to another program, course, or package if missed.
